Wishlist Velocity Projector
Enter your current wishlists, your launch date and your recent weekly rate, and see where a straight-line projection puts you at launch, plus the gap to each launch threshold.
Tier sources: 50,000 is Chris Zukowski's Gold launch tier (How To Market A Game benchmarks, updated June 2026, no sample size published). 15,000, 150,000 and 500,000 are our working assumption, not published figures. Valve publishes no wishlist target at all: its Steamworks wishlist documentation answers "is there a minimum number of wishlists" with "No". Both sources checked 2026-09-15.

Gap to each launch threshold
7.4K wishlists short; 37 more weeks at your current rate would close it.
42.4K wishlists short; 212 more weeks at your current rate would close it.
142.4K wishlists short; 712 more weeks at your current rate would close it.
492.4K wishlists short; 2462 more weeks at your current rate would close it.
What this assumes
Thresholds: the same indie, successful, hit and viral wishlist tiers used in the wishlist calculator, not a new set invented for this page.
Projection: your last-4-week rate held flat in a straight line to launch. Real growth is not linear -- sales, Steam Next Fest, algorithm boosts and press coverage all move the rate, and this tool does not predict any of them.
Event bump: a one-off number you supply for a booked event, added once in the final week before launch. We do not estimate this for you.
This tool projects a wishlist count only. For what a wishlist count could mean in first-week sales, use the wishlist calculator.
A better page raises the weekly rate you just entered. Check where yours stands.
