Steam Capsule Resizer

Upload one image and get all five Steam capsule sizes -- header, small, main, vertical, and library -- each with its own crop you drag into place. Runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.

Resize your capsule to every Steam size

Upload one image (PNG or JPG, up to 20MB) and get all five Steam capsule sizes, each with its own crop you can drag into place, ready to download. Runs entirely in your browser on a canvas -- nothing is uploaded to a server. It does not add detail beyond your source file: a source smaller than a target size is stretched to fit and will look soft.

Every capsule at the right pixel dimensions is the floor, not the bar. The analyzer reads your live capsule the way a shopper does -- whether it says what the game is at thumbnail size -- alongside the rest of your store page.

These are the current Steamworks upload sizes (the 2x assets Valve asks for today). The full dimension table, including the older 1x sizes still found on some shipped games, is on the capsule size validator.

The 0.5-second rule

Players spend about half a second deciding whether to click on your capsule. In that time, they need to understand what kind of game this is, feel some spark of interest, and notice something that sets it apart. Getting the crop right on all five sizes only gets you a capsule that is technically correct -- check it still reads at a glance with the capsule design guide.
