What is Steam Next Fest?
Steam Next Fest is a week-long celebration of upcoming games where developers can showcase playable demos and host livestreams. It's one of the most powerful visibility opportunities for unreleased games on Steam.

2026 Steam Next Fest Schedule
Steam Next Fest runs three times per year in 2026. All three editions are now published by Valve, so every date below comes from Steamworks rather than an estimate.
February 2026 Next Fest — February 23 to March 2, 2026, opening and closing at 10am Pacific. Registration closed January 5, demo builds were due January 26, and all required items were due February 9. This fest has concluded.
June 2026 Next Fest — June 15 to June 22, 2026, at 10am PDT. Registration closed April 27, 2026. This fest has concluded.
October 2026 Next Fest — October 19 to October 26, 2026, opening and closing at 10am PDT. This is the only 2026 edition you can still act on. Registration closes August 31 at 11:59pm PDT, your demo build is due September 21, all required items are due October 5, and the Press Preview starts October 8.
Across all three 2026 editions, registration closed exactly 49 days (7 weeks) before the fest opened, and the Press Preview began 11 days before the public opening. That is an observed pattern, not a Valve guarantee — check Steamworks for official confirmation.
