How the checker works
Your game's community tags are read live from its Steam page, most-voted first. Every tag that is one of the index's niches becomes a match, and your highest-ranked niche tag is your primary niche. Inside each niche, the sub-niches shown are the other tags you share with that niche's games.
The numbers are the September 2026 edition of the index, counted from Steam's store on Sep 27, 2026. Hit rates use games released Jan 1, 2024 to Jun 30, 2025, so every game had at least 14 months to collect reviews. The method and its limits are on each niche page.
A new store page often has few community tags until players add theirs. If your page is brand new, the match reflects the tags you chose in Steamworks.
