How much has ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs made on Steam?

An estimated 390,040 copies sold, $7.8M gross and about $4.3M net to the developer, derived from 9,751 Steam reviews using the Boxleiter method. Valve publishes no per-game sales figures, so this is a calculated estimate and not reported sales -- the plausible net range runs $3.2M to $6.4M.

How this estimate was calculated

The Boxleiter method multiplies a game's public Steam review count by a genre-adjusted figure to approximate units sold. ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs carries 9,751 reviews and reads as simulation, so the calculator applies a 30x to 60x range with 40x as the midpoint. Gross is those units at the current list price. The net figure then applies Valve's tiered revenue share (30% up to $10M lifetime gross, 25% to $50M, 20% above it) and a 0.78 factor for regional pricing, which is why net lands well below gross. Net here is still before tax, refunds and chargebacks, so a developer's banked total is lower again.

What makes this estimate high confidence

• Large review sample (1000+)

Review-count estimation is a rough instrument: review rates vary by genre, price, audience and how hard a game prompts for reviews, and the method cannot see bundles, key sales, refunds or regional price differences at all. Treat the range as the answer and the midpoint as a convenience. Against other games in its genre, this estimate lands around the 97th percentile.
